Aviva has hired a long-time Direct Line exec to head up its UK insurance marketing.

Kerry Chilvers started in July as the new Customer and Marketing Director for UK General Insurance.

She worked for over 19 years at Direct Line. Her roles included heading marketing at sub-brands Churchill and Privilege Insurance and the Direct Line consumer brand.

More recently, she has worked in brand-focused roles for the broader Direct Line group, including Group Brands Director from 2013 to 2020 and Brand Tribe Lead from 2020 to 2023.

Kerry worked alongside Wendy Moores on the launch of the ‘We’re On It’ campaign and took over as the top marketer at Direct Line after Mark Evans stepped down late last year.

She joins several other Aviva appointees, including Paul Fletcher, Marketing and Customer Director for UK&I Life and David Erixon, Marketing Director, who both formerly worked at NatWest.
