Aviva has appointed a NatWest veteran as Marketing Director.

David Erixon started in the role in June, joining from a seven-year tenure at NatWest where he was most recently Retail Marketing Director.

Prior to this, he had positions as Marketing Director for Digital and Brand, as well as CMO of Bó, a digital challenger set up by what was then called the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

David also held significant marketing roles at Vodafone for nearly a decade, including heading up brand strategy and global advertising.

He founded Hyper Island, a digital training company, and design firm Doberman.

Alongside his work, David has served as a council member of the Marketing Society of Ireland for three years, as well as an advisory board member for basketball competition FIGHTBALL and member of the board of trustees for educational charity Design and Art Direction.

Aviva also recently appointed Paul Fletcher as Marketing and Customer Director for its UK and Ireland Life business, who also came from the NatWest group.

The Chief Customer and Officer for the Group is Cheryl Toner, who started in May 2021.
