State Street has hired a new VP of Marketing for EMEA, who brings experience from the fintech world and from other blue chip asset managers.

Peter Kent began the role in August, working with country heads to promote the firm’s equity and investment products to the wider market.

Prior to starting at State Street, Peter worked at Koyo. This was an online consumer lender, shuttered in July, which used open banking to offer loans to people with little or no credit history.

He started there as Head of Marketing for two years before moving to the CMO role for a further two years.

From 2016 to 2019 he worked at Investec, most recently as Global Head of Digital Marketing Strategy.

State Street is also currently hiring for a VP for its institutional marketing in EMEA.
