Shawbrook taps Nationwide digital chief for marketing role

Shawbrook has hired a digital specialist with experience at Nationwide, NatWest, HSBC, as its new Head of Digital Marketing & Distribution.

Peter Nutton began the role in July, joining from Nationwide, where he spent six years.

Most recently he was the building society’s Head of Digital. There he led a cross functional team including product, content creation and engineers, with oversight of digital product strategy, customer experience and the tech stack.

Prior to Nationwide, he worked in product leadership for NatWest in its business and commercial divisions. He also previously worked at HSBC and Aviva.

Founded in 2011, Shawbrook offers savings accounts as well as personal, business and property loans. In June it completed the acquisition of Bluestone Mortgages.
