Prudential’s asset management arm has hired a new UK-based director of brand strategy and advertising.

PGIM appointed Brighton-based Tom Wood to the role starting in September.

Tom brings experience from design, with his longest experience coming from agency Peregrine Communications, where he spent over seven years. He was initially art director before also taking on the role of creative director for the last four years.

Peregrine Communications publishes an annual ranking of how well the top 100 asset management firms are doing on their integrated marketing and communications activities. PGIM came 15th in 2022, falling from 5th in 2021.

Tom has also worked in design roles at publisher IDG and media company The Pavement.
