Barclays has appointed a new chief marketer who brings experience from the telecoms sector.

Newly appointed Group CMO Nina Bibby was most recently SVP of Consumer Segment Marketing at Verizon, a position she held for just under two years.

From 2013 to 2021 she was CMO for O2, heading the marketing function as well as having commercial responsibility for the telco’s consumer and SMB mobile business in the UK.

She previously worked as Global Chief Marketing Officer at Barclaycard from 2010 to 2013. Her career also includes time at Diageo and InterContinental Hotels Group, as well as experience as a Non-Executive Director position at FTSE 100 company Barratt Developments.

Nina said: “I am excited to join Barclays this week as Group CMO. I am so inspired by the focus, ambition and commitment of Barclays to fulfil its leading role in this vital sector.”
