A new investment demand criteria has emerged from the global financial crisis, one which the asset management industry is struggling to keep up with. Demand for long-only equity has all but disappeared as investors look to spend their free budgets on investments that are perceived as more rewarding such as Alternatives or Emerging Markets. This session asks whether long-only equity really is dead and addresses how to meet investors requirements and objectives in Alternatives investing. We then ask whether the trend away from local market investing will continue and what the implications for brand, marketing and comms will be.
