Tony Ward

Tony is the founder and CEO of Home Funding Limited, which provides strategic, product and risk and funding solutions to the mortgage lending and structured finance industry. Tony has a strong background in banking and finance spanning over 40 years. Before joining Home Funding, Tony held various senior positions in retail and international banking including Chief Executive of First Active Financial, Mortgage Trust and Britannic Money, Group Treasurer of one of the UK’s first mortgage securitisation companies established by Kleinwort Benson called Mortgage Funding Corporation plc and Head of Treasury Kleinwort Benson Investment Management Bank. Tony has spoken at many conferences in the UK and overseas on a wide range of subjects and more recently on all aspects of the Credit Crunch and wider economy. He is a Member of both the Association of Corporate Treasurers and the Institute of Credit Management, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is also a past Deputy Chairman of the Council of Mortgage Lenders and Chairman of the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association.
