Giles Croot

Giles Croot joined Newgate in summer 2019 and is a Managing Partner specialising in Financial and Corporate communications.
Giles is a highly experienced, Board level advisor who has an outstanding track record for delivering solutions and advocacy for a wide variety of businesses and organisations.
Giles has held senior in-house communication roles, having been Group Head of Communications and Investor Relations at Balfour Beatty (where he was part of the management team brought in to transform the business) and Head of Group Media at Barclays working with three Chief Executives during his tenure.
Giles was previously a Director at Brunswick Group, where he worked with a wide variety of UK and multinational clients on financial and corporate PR, transformational and defensive M&A, reputation building and management, crisis management, restructurings, launches and stakeholder management.
Giles started his career as a broadcast journalist and has a BSc in Chemistry from Durham University.
