The Forum Buzz: a warm welcome to our Editor, Alex Sword

David Cowan

Managing Director

The Financial Services Forum

I am delighted to announce that The Forum will be welcoming our first ever Editor to the team on Monday. It gives me great pleasure to introduce talented B2B Editor, Alex Sword.

Alex has spent the past three years as the eDelivery and Europe Editor of InternetRetailing, specialising in creating high-value content for a fast-changing industry, as well as representing the brand at face-to-face events and on video.

The appointment of Alex as Editor will see the Forum publish exclusive news, analysis, interviews and research that you won’t be able read anywhere else. This will add an exciting new dimension to our Membership offering, allowing greater scope to explore and develop the key subject areas that are challenging financial marketers.

In this newly created role, Alex will be working closely with the Forum team and Incisive Media’s Group Editorial Director, Adrian Barrick. He will also be in regular contact with Forum members, and I am sure will be in touch to introduce himself in the coming weeks.

We are truly excited for what the future holds for The Forum, and hope that at a time of great change, this appointment demonstrates our continued commitment to raising the standards of FS marketing for the benefit of our members and the wider industry.

What does a YouTube campaign, a hippo and an investment pathway have in common…?

…they all feature in our newly published Q2 events, of course! Check the website now to register for our upcoming webinars in April and May. There are still a few dates to be announced, so keep an eye out. We will also be in touch in a couple of weeks time with a PDF calendar of all the upcoming dates until July 2021.

We’re really looking forward to next week’s events, with our Engaging Gen Z webinar on Tuesday at 0930-1030am and a CMO roundtable workshop with Campbell Macpherson on leading and managing change on Thursday from 0930-1030am.

Spaces still remain at both, so please do register if these are topics of interest to you. We’ve got a stellar lineup of speakers for Gen Z, including Investment Week’s Editor, Lauren Mason as guest chair, Iona Bain, Author and Founder of Young Money Blog, Janina Enrile, UX Writer at Cleo AI, Cicely King, Research Consultant at Savanta and Zoe Davies, Consultant, also at Savanta – don’t miss out.

I hope you have an excellent weekend, and will look forward to hopefully seeing you at a webinar next week.

David
