Vanguard hires Columbia Threadneedle marketer to head content

Vanguard has hired a new Head of Content and Creative for the UK and Europe, who brings experience from Columbia Threadneedle and Janus Henderson.

Simon Longfellow, currently Chairman of the Marketing Committee at Columbia Threadneedle, will take up the new position on 5 January 2026.

As well as his non-executive director role at Columbia Threadneedle, he holds one at Artemis UK Future Leaders and Electric and General Investment Fund.

He has held a number of roles across investment management marketing, including ten years at Janus Henderson from 2009 to 2019 as Head of Marketing for Investment Trusts.

In 2020 he co-founded Steps to Investing, a platform aimed at supporting novice investors.
