Vanguard has appointed a young insider as its new Head of UK Marketing.

Kira Svenning took on the position in January 2026, having held several positions at Vanguard’s European outfit since 2018, most recently Head of Personal Investor Marketing for Europe.

Prior to this, she worked for Vanguard in the US, including holding other marketing roles. She also worked at Deloitte for a four-month period in 2023.

The asset manager, best known as the pioneer of index trackers but also a growing player in the active space, entered the UK market in 2019.

Since then it has gone through three versions of its brand platform, each of which have advanced a different aspect of the brand. It has supplemented this with its sponsorship of the Tough Mudder competition, aimed at building awareness around its active offering amongst the advisor community.

Overall European marketing is headed up by Becky Bond.
