State Street Investment Management has hired a new Head of Client Coverage across the UK and Ireland.

Alistair Byrne took on the role in July, combining sales, strategy partnerships, consultant relations and client relationship management.

The position will see him driving execution of the asset manager’s sales strategy across the two countries, including helping to create differentiated solutions to investors and leading client engagement.

He is an internal hire, having worked for State Street for over 12 years. Other roles have included leading retirement strategy and UK institutional distribution, as well as European DC investment strategy.

He also brings experience from the then-Towers Watson (now WTW), as well as Investit, an asset management consultancy which has now become part of Accenture.
