Schroders has revamped the leadership of its client team with four senior appointments, including a hire from BNY Investments.
The asset manager has appointed Matt Oomer as Global Head of Client Group, with the remit of driving growth and building on client relationships.
He joins from BNY Investments, where he spent seven years as Global Head of Distribution. He also held roles at Mellon Global Investment before BNY and Mellon merged.
Prior to this, he worked at Zurich for six years, most recently as Head of Business Development for UK Intermediaries across the south-east region.
Karine Szenberg, the previous holder of his role, has moved to the role of Executive Vice Chair, while Gopi Mirchandani and Jason Yu were appointed Head of Client Group Asia and Country Head for Hong Kong respectively.
Richard Oldfield, Group CEO, Schroders, said that the appointments aimed to embed teams and partner more closely with clients.
Matt Oomen said: “It’s a privilege to be joining Schroders at such a pivotal time for the industry.
