Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) has hired abrdn’s Kathryn Pinner as its new Marketing Director.

Kathryn started the role in May, where she will be working with people across the business to build out the strategic priorities and ensuring that the business is “future fit” in order to keep pace with industry developments and client expectations.

She comments: “As Royal London Asset Management continues to develop and grow, the opportunity for marketing to help drive and shape clients’ understanding of our business and products and to help deliver against the future growth ambitions is an exciting one.”

She brings experience from a range of asset management firms. Prior to RLAM, Kathryn spent six years at abrdn, including most recently Head of Global Investments Marketing. She was also previously the firm’s Head of UK Marketing.

Before abrdn she worked at Aviva Investors as Head of Global Client & Channel Marketing. She was also formerly Regional Marketing Head at M&G Investments.

RLAM recently launched its “Performance powered by people” platform, which focuses on “delivering asset management excellence with a longer-term perspective”.
