Revolut has hired another celebrity for its new campaign, as it continues to build its brand after receiving a UK banking licence.

The latest iteration of its “Welcome to my Bank” platform features Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. The ads focus on how the footballer uses Revolut’s products, including in his daily life.

The campaign features three TV spots and an out-of-home billboard at Printworks Manchester, launching on 4 June and running till 10 June.

Revolut worked with creative agency Anomaly on the campaign.

Antoine Le Nel, Chief Marketing & Growth Officer at Revolut, said: “Unstoppable, performance-obsessed, and committed to excellence, Haaland is a machine in football. Revolut brings that same mindset to finance.

“Through a playful campaign, we show how Revolut supports customers’ everyday financial needs while connecting them to the things they love — at the intersection of sport and finance.”

The ad ties into Revolut’s existing sports sponsorships, including Manchester City’s men and women’s teams.

The previous iteration of the campaign featured Graham Norton astride a horse, light-heartedly parodying other banks’ ads such as NatWest’s Tomorrow Begins Today.

While Revolut has a substantial UK customer case of 13 million people for its savings and investment products, until being granted its licence back in March it has been unable to offer either current accounts or credit products.
