Revolut has enlisted Graham Norton for a new ad campaign that parodies Lloyds, after officially receiving a banking licence in the UK.

Featuring the television host mounted on a horse in a reference to Lloyds’ famous black horses, the ad has Norton poking fun at common banking cliches and aims to position Revolut as thinking “a little differently” about what a bank is.

While Revolut has a substantial UK customer case of 13 million people for its savings and investment products, until being granted its licence it has been unable to offer either current accounts or credit products.

The firm said it was now in the process of moving customers into bank accounts.

“We’re focused on building on this momentum as we look toward becoming the bank of choice for all UK customers,” Revolut said in a statement.
