Rathbones has made two major distribution hires, including an LGIM and Jupiter Asset Management veteran, as part of a restructure of the division.
New Head of Asset Management Distribution James Crossley joins from LGIM, where he spent just under six years as Head of UK Wholesale.
Prior to this, he worked for 14 years at Jupiter Asset Management, latterly as Head of Retail Distribution.
Abigail Sater has also joined Rathbones as Head of Distribution Strategy for the whole group. Previously she was at the Big Exchange for four years, most recently as CEO, and also brings experience from Standard Life Aberdeen.
The two hires will report to Jayne Rogers, Group Chief Distribution Officer, as part of a new structure, alongside recently hired Head of Strategic Partnerships Simon Taylor and Head of Wealth Management Distribution John Cowmeadow.
Jayne Rogers said: “The new leadership team provides a focused service to clients and supports the future growth of RAM and the wider Rathbones wealth propositions. James will provide a focus to building our asset management business and brings significant experience from his time at LGIM and Jupiter.”
Tom Carroll, Chief Executive, RAM, said: “Having invested heavily in our systems and processes over the past few years, we believe this new distribution leadership team ensures we are well positioned for future growth.
“We are actively looking to build on our strong existing fund offering to meet the needs of our clients in this evolving marketplace. I very much look forward to working with the new team to achieve this.”
