Investment manager Rathbones has hired the former CMO of Evelyn Partners as its new Chief Client Officer.

Simonetta Rigo began the role in September, where she will lead proposition development, marketing and client experience for the firm’s client and adviser proposition.

Rathbones said in a statement: “With 25 years’ experience in financial services, Simonetta is well-known for her energy, strong leadership and commitment to the client experience and is a welcome addition to a combined Rathbones business that continues to pursue the many growth opportunities ahead.”

She was previously CMO at wealth manager Evelyn Partners from December 2020 to March 2024.

While there she headed up the BestInvest consumer proposition and oversaw the firm’s rebrand from Tilney Smith & Williamson.

Her prior experience includes time at Brewin Dolphin, Tesco Bank and American Express.

The news comes after Rathbones made two major distribution hires in June. New Head of Asset Management Distribution James Crossley joined from LGIM, where he spent just under six years as Head of UK Wholesale. Prior to this, he worked for 14 years at Jupiter Asset Management, latterly as Head of Retail Distribution.

Abigail Sater also joined Rathbones as Head of Distribution Strategy for the whole group. Previously she was at the Big Exchange for four years, most recently as CEO, and also has experience from Standard Life Aberdeen.
