Nottingham Building Society has appointed a new Head of Marketing, who brings experience from both specialist and mass market retail banks.

Christian Cowie began the role in January, joining from Cambridge & Counties Bank, where he was Director of Marketing & Savings. He spent seven years at the specialist bank across two marketing roles.

Prior to this, Christian worked at Banco Santander, in digital marketing and comms roles. He was previously part of Alliance & Leicester before it was acquired by Santander.

He also previously worked at Capital One, where he worked as an acquisition channel manager.

The Nottingham rebranded in October last year, introducing a new logo with a more vibrant yellow and green colour palette and a more modern style sans-serif font.

The goal of the rebrand was to champion financial diversity by “redefining mutuals to reflect today’s Britain,” reflecting how the mutual aims to help people achieve home ownership regardless of individual circumstances.

The Nottingham will support the marketing with a commitment to customer service, including “user-friendly systems, top-notch communication and new tech that keeps a personal touch.”

Holly Marshall, Chief Communications & Marketing Director at The Nottingham will be speaking at our event on 28 January.
