JPMorgan Chase has hired a senior marketer from Nationwide to lead marketing strategy for its UK consumer banking arm.
Anna Bentham started the role of Executive Director of Marketing Strategic Planning at digital bank Chase.
Anna’s most recent role was Director of Marketing at Nationwide, where her remit encompassed brand, advertising, digital marketing, social media, CRM and customer experience design. She worked at the mutual for a total of 13 years across a range of sales and marketing roles.
She started her career at Currys working in ecommerce.
Chase launched in the UK in September 2022, amassing over 1.6 million customers as of its last update in May. Led by Deborah Keay as CMO of JPMorgan Chase’s international consumer marketing, the brand has used a variety of techniques to win business, including market-leading interest rates, innovative digital features and highlighting its large customer base in the US.
This month also saw the American bank hire a new UK-based VP of Brand Marketing, who brings experience from both financial services and out-of-sector.
Olivia Thatcher started the role in September, joining after six months heading up Bloomberg’s brand strategy and deploying multi-channel campaigns across its global footprint.
Prior to this she worked at Metro Bank as Head of Brand Marketing for nearly two years. Olivia also worked at food and beverage giant Nestlé, also in various brand and marketing roles.
