M&G Investments has launched a new podcast which takes an unconventional approach to sharing the stories of fund managers.
Hosted by CMO and head of client experience Laura Brown alongside head of wholesale distribution Alex Matcham, the Dream Machine podcast is designed to showcase the stories and personalities of the firm’s fund managers.
Writing on LinkedIn, Laura characterised Dream Machine as a cross between a conventional asset management podcast and food-themed podcasts Hot Wings or Off Menu. As well as covering insights on investing and career journeys, the podcast asks guests about their dream vending machine items.
The first episode launched on 3 February with the guest Alex Araujo, manager of the firm’s Global Equities fund.
The launch came just before the start of M&G’s Annual Investment Forum in London on 4 February, where the podcast was publicised through branded chocolate bars in vending machines.
Content has been a key focus for M&G Investments and its brand building initiatives since Laura took the helm of marketing, with the “slow news”- inspired Ampersand magazine launching in 2023.
