LV= has created a new executive role focused on customer experience.

Chloe Stuttard took on the role of Chief Customer Officer in January, joining the mutual’s executive committee with the remit of leading customer and adviser experience and governance.

The promotion shows the strategic focus that the life and investments company is placing on experience. Chloe was previously Director of Customer and Adviser Experience for two years, also holding chief of staff and compliance roles.

Prior to working at LV=, she held roles at Quilter and Old Mutual.

The appointment came alongside the hiring of Zurich’s Anita Fernqvist as Chief Transformation and Technology Officer.

David Hynam, LV= Chief Executive, said: “Chloe’s appointment strengthens our continued focus on delivering exceptional experiences for our members, advisers and customers.”

He added: “Together, [Chloe and Anita’s] leadership will be instrumental as we continue to invest in our systems, digital capability, customer experience and operational resilience. Their expertise will help us continue delivering exceptional outcomes for our members, customers and advisers.”

The position is becoming a more common one in financial services, with NatWest and HSBC both adding Chief Customer Officers last year.
