J.P. Morgan has hired a new CMO for its International Private Bank, bringing experience from HSBC, Fidelity and UBS.

Trevor Isherwood began the role in January, joining from HSBC’s Global Private Bank division, where he was Global Head of Marketing for three years. There he was responsible for the strategy, which aimed to build the firm’s recognition and reputation as a distinct private bank.

From 2021 to 2023 he worked at private markets infrastructure provider Titanbay, building out its marketing team and technology stack and leading its content-led engagement strategy.

He also spent four years heading digital and content marketing at Fidelity International and eight years across various roles at UBS Wealth Management in Zurich, as well as several years heading his own marketing agency.

“J.P. Morgan is a firm synonymous with excellence, and I am deeply honoured to be entrusted with leading the marketing function for the International Private Bank. Throughout my career I have remained passionate about delivering world-class marketing for clients in the wealth management sector, so I’m incredibly excited to work alongside such a talented global team as we continue to innovate and deliver for our clients across the globe.”

The news comes as the firm reorganises its strategy, having appointed David Frame as Global CEO for the private bank. Hannah Bouverat was hired as its Head of EMEA Marketing in 2023.
