Hiscox has hired a new CMO, who brings experience from major American consumer brands.

The insurer has appointed Aparna Sarin to the position of Group Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer. Her remit will be accelerating retail growth, strengthening how the firm markets and distributes its specialist propositions while helping the firm to scale its capability across markets.

Sarin brings nearly ten years of experience from Capital One, where she was most recently CMO for business cards and payments.

Before this, she worked for 14 years at American Express, where she held customer roles across cards and commercial payments.

Hiscox Group CEO Aki Hussain said: “Aparna brings a powerful combination of commercial instinct, customer understanding and analytical rigour.

“She has built her career at the intersection of growth, discipline and execution, and that makes her an excellent fit for our business ambitions.”
