Hampden Group has appointed a new Head of Marketing, who brings experience from both investment management and outside financial services.
Jayne Shawcross took on the position at the private bank in May 2026, joining from asset manager Blackfinch Group, where she had been Group Head of Marketing for four years.
Previously, she worked at property data firm CLS Property Insight and Octopus’s real estate arm. She has also held roles in the furniture and waste management sectors.
Founded in 1977, Hampden is a private bank, which provides capital to the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, as well as offering financial services such as insurance legacy solutions and access to foreign exchange and family office services.
In an emailed statement, Jayne commented: “[Hampden is] a brand that has forged a well-earned reputation for its incredible depth of research and relentless pursuit of premium client service, evidenced so well by everyone I have met since joining. As a member of the senior leadership team I’ll be responsible for the full mix of channels, with a strategy focused on helping the wealth management, family office and institutional sectors fully optimise the alternative investment opportunity Hampden presents. I’ll be working closely with CEO Alistair Wood to help investors and their advisors appreciate the capital efficiency and uncorrelated returns available from Hampden, and support the Hampden growth agenda for the future.”
