GAM Investments has promoted two marketing leaders from within its ranks, as it looks to build a stronger narrative and investor journey.

Colin Bennett took on the role of CMO this month. He has worked at GAM for 28 years, having moved into marketing in 2021 with his previous position of Global Head of Marketing and Client Experience.

Before this he held various roles across distribution and project management within the firm. He has also held advisory board positions at the Investment Association and mentored for NatWest Business.

“The CMO role in wealth and asset management has evolved,” said Colin in an emailed statement. “It is now a multi-disciplinary, commercial driver of growth. GAM combines specialist investment talent with a truly global distribution platform, and the opportunity is to make that clearer to the market through stronger narrative and a distinctive investor journey.

“My role is to connect clients with that capability and those ideas with clarity and impact. That has always been GAM’s mindset, and it is mine.”

This month also saw GAM appoint Jessica Hammond as its new Head of Global Digital Marketing, adding a global remit to her role.

She has worked in marketing roles at GAM for eight years, with previous experience at Jupiter Asset Management and Unbiased.co.uk.
