Canaccord Wealth has appointed a new distribution head, as it looks to deepen its presence in the UK IFA market.

Antony Champion has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Distribution Officer, with the remit of driving the firm’s UK distribution strategy. He will work on developing Canaccord’s advisor proposition, reporting to MD Duncan Stratford.

He joins from RBC Brewin Dolphin, where he worked for 11 years, most recently as Head of Intermediaries. He also previously worked at Close Brothers and across various divisions of HSBC.

He said: “Canaccord Wealth has built a compelling proposition for advisers, combining investment excellence with scale and failsafe service.”

“I’m excited to be joining the firm at such a pivotal point and be working with the distribution team to provide IFAs across the UK with the support they need to fulfil their clients’ outcomes.”

Canaccord Wealth is one of the top five integrated wealth managers in the UK by AUM. Last year, it worked with then-Teamspirit (now VCCP Roar) on rebranding from Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management.
