BlackRock has topped a ranking of the most valuable brands in asset management.
The American asset manager’s brand was valued at $7 billion in Brand Finance’s latest ranking, unveiled this week.
The firm took the top spot amidst competition from J.P Morgan Asset Management (just under $7 billion), Vanguard ($6 billion), Blackstone ($4.3 billion) and Fidelity ($4.2 billion).
The top ten was rounded out by Goldman Sachs, State Street, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and KKR.
In a statement, Brand Finance attributed BlackRock’s high place in the rankings to “its forward-thinking approach in technology and sustainability”. It also noted the importance of BlackRock’s diverse product offerings.
J.P. Morgan took the top spot in a separate brand strength ranking, which includes other metrics such as awareness, familiarity and performance, with BlackRock taking the second place.
