Barclays tops list of most loved banking brands

Barclays is the UK’s most loved banking brand, according to a new report from Savanta.

The Top 100 Most Loved Financial Services Brands 2021 report draws on interviews with 72,000 consumers over the last year to rank companies on how popular the brand was. The research takes into account areas such as familiarity and awareness, brand affinity and marketing indicators such as positive “buzz”.

The top four spots in the league table were taken by payment providers, with PayPal topping the list. Barclays was the highest placed bank on the list at number 8, closely followed by Nationwide.

Challenger bank Starling came in at number 19, while the AA was the highest placed insurance brand at number 20.
