AXA hires Bupa, Lloyds vet as marketing director for health

AXA’s health insurance arm has hired a Bupa and Lloyds veteran for the newly created role of Distribution and Marketing Director.

Richard Glassborow will take on the role at AXA Health in spring 2025.

He worked at insurer Bupa for over five years, most recently as Direct Distribution & Marketing Director at BUPA UK.

His previous experience includes over seven years at Lloyds Banking Group, where he rose to Head of Consumer Finance Marketing. In this position he oversaw marketing strategy and communication across the Consumer Cards, Loans and Motor Finance divisions under the Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland brands.

He also headed marketing at esure for nearly two years.
