Insurer AXA has appointed a new Chief Customer & Communications Officer for the UK and Ireland.

Louise joined the insurer in July, with her remit covering brand and sustainability in addition to the two areas in her title. She will sit on the insurer’s management committee, reporting to CEO Tara Foley.

With over 20 years of international experience in marketing, communications and customer strategy, Louise has held senior roles at Barclays, Cigna and American Express.

Tara Foley, CEO at AXA UK and Ireland, said: “Louise’s drive to deliver for customers is central to who we are at AXA UK & Ireland. She will be instrumental in shaping how we bring this focus to life through our customer and communications teams, and in influencing the organisation more widely to create meaningful impact for our customers. “

Louise commented: “I am really excited about contributing to the future success of the organisation by shaping how we connect with our customers and stakeholders, enhancing our brand and reputation, and supporting the delivery of our strategic priorities.”
