In recent months we have seen an accelerated growth in the value and uptake of cryptocurrency. With the declared support of Elon Musk the price of bitcoin grew, followed by institutions such as auction house Christie’s, Mastercard and BNY Mellon announcing they will accept payments in cryptocurrency.
