The Generation Gain: Is Your Marketing Ready for the Run on the Bank of Mum & Dad?

MA

With an estimated £5.5 trillion of family wealth set to be transferred in the UK over the next three decades, today’s millennials, often caught between raising children and looking after parents, are poised to become the richest generation in history.

Despite this, many FS businesses are yet to grasp the nettle and put significant investment into reaching those who will be their most valuable clients in just a decade or so. They are struggling to communicate and build relationships with this generation and younger GenZ investors. In fact, research suggests that up to 50% of young people who inherit wealth will leave their parents’ financial advisors and vanish to a friend of a friend who seems to be playing a better game.

This session will shed insight for businesses on both the methods of reaching Millennials and Gen Z and the messages that will get and retain their attention.
