The Changing Roles of Marketing & Brand Leadership

MA

This event is open to paid Forum members only, client-side (FCA or PRA regulated).

We will be accepting arrivals from 09:00am, and the discussion will begin at 09:30am.

As organisations have increased in complexity, responsibility for brand has become more fragmented, with customer experience, digital, product and communications now often sitting across multiple teams. At the same time, the role of brand is evolving, with organisations expected to deliver increasingly consistent experiences across touchpoints and to balance long-term brand building against short-term commercial demands.

This session will explore how these changing requirements are reshaping the roles of top-level marketers. As responsibility for brand is increasingly distributed across organisations, does the modern marketing leader need to move beyond communications and campaigns to become the organisation's chief integrator? We will examine how marketing leaders are balancing commercial priorities with long-term brand strategy, bringing together functions that have traditionally operated separately, and what effective brand leadership looks like in an increasingly complex business environment.
