From Saving to Investing: How Marketing Can Shift Consumer Behaviour

MAP

This event is open to paid Forum members (Partners & Client-Side - FCA or PRA regulated)

We will be accepting arrivals from 09:00am, and the discussion will begin at 09:30am.

The UK has long been described as a nation of savers, rather than one of investors. Whilst this cautious, risk-averse mindset has seen Brits stash upwards of £614B in savings accounts, it has also dramatically increased the so-called investment gap.

As the government and the regulator  push to create a stronger, investment-friendly culture, financial services brands face a series of critical challenges; how do you move consumers from holding cash to actively investing without undermining trust or confidence, and what role can marketing play in shifting deeply ingrained attitudes to risk, uncertainty and financial decision-making?

This session will explore how marketing, messaging and experience design can influence investment behaviour in a savings-led market. From the language used in campaigns and communications to the way brands frame risk, value and long-term outcomes, we will examine how marketers can help make investing feel more accessible, relevant and emotionally credible to a broader audience.
