Simon Gentry

Simon Gentry is one of the most experienced public affairs specialists having begun his career in 1990. After a year in a political research function, he moved to Brussels, where he spent nearly four years focused on European issues. Simon returned to London in 1994 to join a large pharmaceutical company. In 2000 he moved to a financial services trade association in the City. At the Association of British Insurers, he led the industry through the EU’s Financial Services Action Plan. In 2003 Simon set up a specialist public affairs consultancy of his own. Over 10 years he worked for companies including VISA, Microsoft, SAP, GSK, AstraZeneca, Danone, the ATM Industry Association, Bank Machine and Cardtronics Inc. Simon joined Newgate Communications as a Partner to lead the public affairs practice in September 2016.
