Ian Henderson is an experienced creative director and agency head who does simple ideas for complex businesses. He enjoys working with tricky products, tangled markets and tough to reach audiences, which often takes him into regulated, intermediated and complicated sectors like finance, corporate and government. Having started as an advertising writer Ian became creative director at BMW’s brand agency BGA before joining DMB&B Financial. After rebranding as Masius and opening in New York, Ian added the CEO role and grew the agency successfully winning clients like Volvo, EY, Jupiter, Natwest and BAA before leaving to set up a business agency for Engine Group with clients that included Alibaba, Coca-Cola, Deutsche Borse and Neptune. He then took over as creative director and chairman with AML Group, an independent specialist agency in London. The firm has grown rapidly and now delivers complete brand, creative and digital communications to finance, business and corporate clients like BNY Mellon, Robeco, Partnership, CBI, Pictet, HM Government and Deutsche Bank in UK, Europe and worldwide. AML is also digital partner agency to the FSF. Ian comments on business, brands and behavior for the BBC and other media, writes about travel, likes boats and bikes and lives in London.
