Gary Lapthorn

Gary is head of Responsible Business for Commercial Banking at Lloyds Banking Group. He has worked at Lloyds for over 32 years, with over 10 years at senior leadership level. He has covered a wide range of roles including proposition development, marketing and client insight. Gary is currently responsible for the sustainability strategy in Commercial Banking, which is built around the ambition of becoming a leading bank for sustainable growth, supporting clients to transition to sustainable business models and operations, and to pursue new clean growth opportunities. Gary is also responsible for the charity and community programmes in Commercial Banking including fundraising and volunteering. Gary lives in North Somerset with his wife, and is also a Board Trustee of the charity Contact, for families with disabled children.
