Technology is a driver of change in consumer behaviour, and nowhere is that potentially more true than in financial services. The mobile revolution has taken a while to arrive, although some developing markets have already overtaken the West. Mobile applications have the potential to further empower consumers to do things that previously weren't possible, but also upset the relationships between financial services providers and their customers. Will we still need banks in the brave new mobile world?
